ALLEN, James D. (Age 86) Passed away November 17, 2012. He was born May 21, 1926 in Keewatin, MN to William and Irene Allen. Jim graduated from Gonzaga High School and received his bachelors degree from EWU. He served in the US Navy duringWWII. He married Leona Heminger November 2, 1950 in Spokane. He has lived in Spokane, Vietnam and Thailand. He was employed by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office and the US Government. He established a polygraph School in Spokane and directed it for over 12 years through the Community Colleges of Spokane. Jim loved to play golf, attended St. Peters Catholic Church, St. Francis in Yuma, AZ; member of the Elks Lodge and a life member of the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leona; children Sherry and Ernie Donlan of Spokane, James H. Allen of Syracuse, NY, Raymond and Shelley Allen of Sandpoint, ID, Michael Allen and Denise Allen of Spokane; brothers Richard Allen of California and Patrick Allen of Washington; nine grandkids and nine great-grandkids. Visitation will be 10-5PM at Heritage on Wednesday and Thursday and Funeral Service 11AM Friday, November 30, 2012 at Heritage Chapel.
